Katherine Liola, founder and CEO of Concentric Private Wealth, learned early on that empowering people to live their fullest lives is more complicated than setting a goal or having a sound financial plan.
Katherine entered the financial services industry immediately after working and financing her way through Boston College with a commitment to give access to financial freedom and human expression to underserved communities. Communities like her parents, who worked so hard and showed up with so much love for their 5 kids but still didn’t have all the tools and financial know-how to navigate the headwinds that come with relationships and raising kids.
Communities like the LGBTQ community, which Katherine had worked with closely in her early college days as they faced both financial and human rights challenges. Communities of individuals like herself, who were on healing and growth journeys and needed a refreshed approach and openness to being seen and supported as a person and with planning for the path ahead.
After 11 years of working in the financial services industry, Katherine founded Concentric Private Wealth to create a new paradigm for what was possible at the intersection of money and the human experience. She designed an innovative new approach that integrated core principles of asset management and financial planning with the recognition that the most effective planning must include the elements that support empowerment and expression beyond the numbers:
- A sense of safety
- A foundation to support today as well as tomorrow
- An intention to create space to hear one’s voice
- An awareness of vulnerabilities, responsibilities and needs
- An openness for guidance and discomfort
- A leaning into and integration of one’s personal strengths, life values, playful curiosity and creative expression
Bottom line: focusing on an alignment of our truths, values and strengths while also honoring our responsibilities, vulnerabilities and lived experiences and integrating play and financial clarity brings fulfillment and greater financial confidence and freedom.

A sought-after industry speaker, Katherine has been featured on Bloomberg Radio, and quoted in several national publications – from the Wall Street Journal and USA Today to InvestmentNews. Additionally, Katherine has collaborated with CNBC as part of their financial literacy project, Invest in You: Ready. Set. Grow and also led her own video series, Financial Fitness Friday for three years with a focus to help empower and transform how people live their lives and think about money.
Katherine was honored by the inaugural InvestmentNews “Top 40 Under 40” list for 20141 and the Washington Business Journal “40 Under 40”2 list in 2017. Her passion for delivering value also earned her recognition as a Five Star Wealth Manager by Five Star Professional and in multiple publications.
